Chicken Cordon Bleu


You will need:
1 kl chicken breast billet ( magnolia chicken station @ sm, or sm bonus)
ham ( you can choose your brand)
cheese ( you have to slice it)
knorr meaty seasoning ( 2 sachets)
1 egg (beaten)


Here's how:

1. Pound chicken breasts to 1/4 inch thickness. (if they are too thick)
2. Sprinkle each piece of chicken on both sides with knorr meaty seasoning.
3. Place 1 cheese slice and 1 ham slice on top of each breast. Roll up each breast, and secure with a toothpick.

4. Dip the chicken roll in beaten egg, then roll in cornstarch..
5. Over medium-high heat, fry the chicken until browned on all sides. Set aside

for the sauce:

You will need:
all purpose cream
grated cheese (3tbsps) - depends on your taste
salt & sugar - to taste

here's how:

1. Blend the the cream and the cheese and a little dash of salt & sugar in a small bowl.
2. Transfer the cream into the skillet.
3. Cook the cream in a low-heat.
4. Stir the sauce until thickened.
5. And pour over the chicken. Serve warm.

KATSUDON









Ingredients:
Pork Chop (used 3 chops for this recipe)
1/2 cup flour
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 medium sized egg beaten
salt and pepper to taste
oil for frying

For the sauce you will need:
1 medium white onion sliced
1 stalk onion leek sliced thinly
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup mirin
1 medium sized egg beaten


Here's how:

1. Season the pork chop on both sides with salt and pepper and dredge into flour.
2. Dip pork chop in egg.
3. Dredge in bread crumbs
4. Pan fry till golden brown.
5. Set aside.
6. Simmer in low heat the mirin, soy sauce, onions, leeks and brown sugar.
7. When it starts to boil add in the egg. Swirl the pan a bit to cook the egg without breaking it.
8. In a bowl put some steaming rice, slice the pork chops and top over it. Lastly pour over the sauce and serve.


My note:
This recipe is good for 3 pork chops. I used Kikkoman soy sauce, and Mizkan Hon Mirin which I bought from SM Supermarket. Please see pictures for referrence.

TIPSY GAMBAS

  • 500 grams prawns
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Spanish paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 4 tablespoons tequila
  • 4 tablespoons lemon vodka
  • zest and juice of 1 lemon
  1. Saute garlic in olive oil. Add prawns and cook until they start to turn red, then add paprika and chili flakes.
  2. Gently pour tequila and lemon vodka, and flambe.
  3. Add lemon juice and lemon zest.
  4. Serve with lemon wedges, if desired.*

***serves 2-3, Preparation time 5 minutes, cooking time 10minutes..
